Archive for the ‘Philadelphia’ Category

On Sunday, June 26th I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Marla and Eugene as they were surrounded by friends and family. I’m incredibly honored to have taken part in their special day and want to congratulate them once again! More pictures coming soon…

Village Whiskey

March 21, 2011

Over the weekend I went to one of my favorite places to eat in Philly, Village Whiskey. My intention was to take a few pictures of the food I ordered and enjoy the outside eating in Philly, which used to be a rarity, but now is becoming more and more available. Once the food came out, the camera went away and no pictures were taken. The picture below was taken while we waited for our table.

I guess next time I’ll take a quick shot before I scarf down the food!

Retro City Studios

February 25, 2011

I recently spent some time at Retro City Studios to take some video for an upcoming project. Since my video camera is my stills camera too, I took a few photos. The studio is a cool unassuming place that you wouldn’t know was there from the outside. On the inside it’s very intimate with everything you would need in a studio.

Look for the videos coming soon and head over to Retro City Studios for all your  recording needs!

Steve On-Point Photo Shoot

December 2, 2010

Here is a photo shoot from about 3 months ago I did for my friend Steve. He needed a few pictures for his newly launched website, so we got together and knocked some out. My favorite one is the one of him sitting against the log cabin reading a book. All these were shot in daylight around 2 o’clock in the afternoon, but this picture looks like it was shot at night.

Anyway, make sure you check out Steve over at his website and download his new album. It’s Free! There will be more photos of Steve in the future so stay tuned!

Fall

October 19, 2010

The most wonderful time of the year

While walking in the city the other day, I wanted to take some pictures of reflections on buildings. Here are three of the better ones from that trip. It rained on and off throughout the day and that made for some awesome clouds and when the sun shined through, it provided great light and reflections.

Also this is the first time I’ve done HDR. I’m not really a fan of HDR but I thought these pictures called for a slight tweak. With the new HDR Toning in Photoshop CS5 it was only a matter of time until I gave it a shot. I didn’t want to go over board so I duplicated the original picture and placed it over the HDR version and lowered the opacity to just let the HDR Toning come through. While this isn’t really HDR, I’m pleased with the way they turned out and I’m sure I’ll be doing more in the future.

You can find the bigger versions of each picture over at my flickr page here.
